Today I will begin my peregrination to a locale far away from my home. Although I’ll be helping to build homes in Kisii, Kenya, my heart will always have its place on my own turf. Without the strong support and love from my family and friends here at home, this journey would be nearly impossible. Thank you.
For those of you traveling vicariously to Kenya, I’d like to encourage you to get even more involved. With World Habitat Day approaching on October 5th there are several ways to make your voice heard. If you’re not familiar with World Habitat Day, you may wish to begin by reading about the day and this year’s theme and/or focal point.
